Pit Bull Attacked Woman In Woodbridge, Sending Her To Hospital

The dog broke free of its leash and attacked a woman walking nearby.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A woman was bitten by a pit bull last Tuesday, Aug. 11, in Woodbridge, said police in that town.

The dog bit the woman at 8:46 in the morning on Temple Way in the Colonia section. The dog was on a leash and broke free of the person walking it.

The woman was walking nearby and the dog ran at her and attacked her. She was bitten on her face and her hands, said police.

911 was called and she was treated by EMS and then taken to a hospital.

Woodbridge Animal Control was called, said Woobridge Police Director Joseph Nisky. It is unknown if they seized the dog or where the dog is now. Patch will update this story with more information we get it.
