FBI: Suspected Robber Likely Hit 7 Banks In Middlesex, Union Counties

Federal authorities and local police are searching for a Plainfield man who they say robbed banks in South Plainfield.

The FBI and local police are searching for a Plainfield man who they say robbed at least 7 banks in New Jersey, according to published reports.

Marlon Peek, 39, of East 6th Street, Plainfield, is wanted for an April 14 robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank on Oak Tree Road and the April 21 robbery of the PNC Bank on St. Nicholas Avenue, according to reports in mycentraljersey.com and nj.com.

Police issued a warrant for his arrest, according to mycentraljersey.com.

The FBI believes Peek may have been involved in five other bank robberies in March and April, according to NJ.com.

He may have been involved in the robbery of banks in Edison, Dunellen, Middlesex Borough and Springfield, according to NJ.com.

Peek is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds, according to mycentraljersey.com.
