Pre-Dawn Fire Breaks Out At Home In Fords Section
The first call of the fire came in at 4:32 a.m. on South Columbus Street in Fords:
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — There was a house fire before dawn Wednesday in the Fords section of Woodbridge.
The first call of the fire came in at 4:32 a.m. on South Columbus Street in Fords, said Woodbridge Twp. spokesman John Hagerty. The property/house was vacant at the time; the house was recently sold and the new owners had not yet moved in.
Hopelawn Fire Department and Keasbey Fire Department responded to the scene and knocked down the fire. No injuries were reported.

Hagerty did not say what exactly caused the fire, referring those questions to the fire department.
Additional responding fire companies included the Woodbridge Fire Department, Avenel Fire Department, Fords Fire Department, Woodbridge EMS and the Woodbridge CERT Team.
