Preserve Your Memories

Digital preservation fundraising event to help people preserve their memories @ the Woodbridge Main Library on Saturday, October 7.

The Woodbridge Public Library Foundation is pleased to sponsor a digital preservation fundraising event to help patrons maintain personal memories of print photos, film, videos and other media materials.

The Foundation has partnered with Digital Memory Media (a Division of Innovative Document Imaging LLP), a leading provider of digital imaging services. Digital Memory Media brings secure, professional preservation services to individuals at an affordable price. In addition, twenty percent (20%) of all proceeds from the program will be donated to the library.

Patrons are encouraged to bring their personal collections, such as print photographs, slides and audio-visual material including VHS videos, 8mm, and 16mm film to the event. Digital Memory Media advisors will be on hand to counsel patrons on the best way to digitally preserve their collections. Once scanned and digitized, patrons will be notified of a date and time to retrieve their material from the Woodbridge Public Library.
