According to the Federal Trade Commission’s Consumer Sentinel Data Book (2014) New Jersey ranks 9th out of the states for consumer fraud complaints and 19th in identity theft complaints. Imposter scams, money wiring scams, fake debt collectors are just a few of the ways clever criminals have developed to gain an individual’s personal information.
