Every night, The Gateway Family YMCA provides shelter and housing for hundreds of community members in need. While we provide basic necessities such as shelter, clothing and food, our programs extend far beyond the basics as we partner with our residents to change their lives.
We provide the much needed support to combat addiction, the learning and skills necessary to obtain an education and become gainfully employed, the life skills and direction to improve individual health and well-being, the parenting classes and children’s services to support the family unit and reunite families in crisis, as well as the hope and stability needed to obtain permanent residency.
As we hear the alarming statistics on homelessness and the growth in numbers of homeless children, adults and families, we are humbled by our ability to help those in need within our community as we do every day.

As a mission-driven organization, The Gateway Family YMCA meets the challenges in our local communities and provides hope and help to those in need. 66% of our housing residents are families, which represents both female and male single heads of household as well as two parent families. Nearly 100% of our residents receive financial assistance through government assistance, grant funds and our YMCA Annual Campaign.
