Rahway Man Hid In Dumpster From Linden Police, Cops Say

Linden police arrested this man Nov. 20 after they say he burglarized an apartment building. Police said he then hid in a nearby Dumpster.

LINDEN, NJ — Linden police arrested this man Monday, Nov. 20 after they say he burglarized an apartment building in Linden. Police say the man hid in a nearby Dumpster after the break-in.

Linden police were called to an apartment building on the 1100 block of W. St. George Avenue for a reported burglary at 9:30 a.m. Monday. A man wanted in questioning fled the scene when confronted by police. He was located hiding in a nearby dumpster a short while later.

Charles Flowers, 53, was charged with third-degree attempted burglary, fourth-degree obstruction, and fourth-degree hindering. He was remanded to the Union County Jail pending an appearance in Superior Court.
