OLD BRIDGE, NJ — Here's a first glimpse at the renovated and expanded new emergency department at Old Bridge Medical Center:

The newer, bigger ER is expected to open to the public in mid-January.

The expanded ER will have additional private treatment rooms, and will also feature a new indoor concourse connecting all three hospital buildings. You will be able to see people walking in the concourse from outside the hospital, "which helps visitors and new patients easily navigate the facility," said the hospital.

FCA was the architecture and design firm they hired.

Says FCA of their renovations: "Warmth is added to the previously dated clinical spaces through clean, modern surfaces, using color as a means to both calm visitors and assist with navigation. Natural textures, including wood-like patterns and fabrics, also contribute to the space's bright, yet relaxing atmosphere."
