In Woodbridge, police plan to set up both DWI checkpoints and roving patrols, said Capt. Allen Bloodgood.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over is a national campaign that began in 1999 to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving. Police use both high-visibility enforcement and public education tools, according to a news release about the program.
In 2013, alcohol-impaired fatalities accounted for 27 percent of New Jersey’s motor vehicle fatalities, the news release said.
