Romantic Comedy "Arms and the Man" for Valentine's season

Dragonfly Mulicultural Arts Center will present "Arms and the Man" by George Bernard Shaw on February 5, 6, 12, and 13 in Metuchen.

Metuchen, NJ--Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center will present the comedy Arms and the Man by George Bernard Shaw, on February 5, 6, 12, and 13 (Fri. at 8 p.m. and Sat. at 3 & 8 p.m.) in Metuchen. Shaw’s witty and lasting satire of love and war is centered around Raina, a girl who romanticizes wars and heroes until an unpolished deserter reveals the true nature of battle--and Raina’s deceptive fiancé. This farcical play is the perfect treat for Valentine’s

dates. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens. Performances are held at the Metuchen Reformed Church, 150 Lake Avenue. In a first-time partnership with D’novo Fine Italian Cuisine, just two blocks away, audience members can purchase tickets and a prix- fixe, three-course dinner for just $35/person.

Arms and the Man is the seventh production by Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center. Dragonfly Arts Center was founded in 2014 by Catherine LaMoreaux and Anna Paone. The Metuchen- based nonprofit is dedicated to celebrating diversity through arts education, dramatic performances, and creation of new works.
