West Long Branch, NJ - West Long Branch resident Joseph Hornick vowed he will "pay as many fines as I get or I will sit in jail." He's not taking down his two Donald Trump "Make America Great Again" flags, one of which can be seen flying outside his home, above.

The town ticketed Hornick, 54, a retired firefighter, on March 25 because they say the flags are in violation of a unique West Long Branch municipal ordinance: No political signs may be erected outside a private home before 30 days of an election, and they must be removed five days after the election. Interestingly, the ticket was issued after a former West Long Branch Democratic councilman called City Hall to complain about Hornick's flags. "I don't care how many fines I have to pay. I will not take this flag down. The ordinance is talking about campaign signs and this is a flag. A flag is protected by my Constitutional rights," Hornick told Patch on Friday. "It's my right to fly a flag on my property. I am not backing down over this." Read the original article here.
