SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Middlesex County

FREE pre-screening and application assistance available in October from the Community FoodBank of NJ

The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey will be in Middlesex County during October to help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available at the following locations:

· First Presbyterian Church: 600 Rahway Ave, Woodbridge on October 12 from 9am to 11am

· PRAB: 90 Jersey Ave, New Brunswick on Oct 7 & 28 from 9am to 4pm

· Jewish Renaissance Medical Center: 275 Hobart St, Perth Amboy on October 7, 14, 21, & 28 from 10am to 2pm

·Jewish Renaissance Foundation: 149 Kearny Ave, Perth Amboy on October 7, 14, 21, & 28 from 2pm to 6pm

The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
