SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Middlesex County

FREE pre-screening and application assistance available in December from the Community FoodBank of NJ

The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey will visit various Middlesex County sites during December to help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available at the following locations:

  • PRAB: 90 Jersey Ave, New Brunswick on December 2 & 30 from 9am to 4pm sources
  • Jewish Renaissance Medical Center: 275 Hobart St, Perth Amboy on December 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30 from 10am to 2pm
  • Jewish Renaissance Foundation: 149 Kearny Ave, Perth Amboy on December 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 from 2pm to 6pm

The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
