SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Middlesex County
FREE pre-screening and application assistance available in February from the Community FoodBank of NJ
The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey will visit various Middlesex County sites in February to help low-income families see if they might qualify for food stamps. They will help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available at the following locations:
- PRAB: 90 Jersey Ave, New Brunswick on February 3 & 24 from 9am to 4pm
- Heaven’s Helpers Food Pantry: 393 Pearl St (VFW Hall), Woodbridge on February 4 from 11am to 1pm
- Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen: 19 Neilson St, New Brunswick on February 10 from 10am to 1pm
- Jewish Renaissance Medical Center: 275 Hobart St, Perth Amboy on February 3, 10, 17, & 24 from 10am to 2pm
- Jewish Renaissance Foundation: 149 Kearny Ave, Perth Amboy on February 3, 10, 17, & 24 from 2pm to 6pm
The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
