South Brunswick Residents Receive Certificates At Annual Vo-Tech Apprentice Graduation

They were among the 26 electricians and plumbers who received certificates of completion.

Some 26 electricians and plumbers received their certificates of completion at the annual apprentice graduation of the Adult Evening School of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools.

The students completed between 600 and 900 hours of classroom instruction and 8,000 to 10,000 hours of on‐the‐job training over a four- or five-year period, a news release from the district said.

During the ceremony in East Brunswick, the graduates were congratulated by Middlesex County Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios, Bernard E. Treml III, state director of the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship and Superintendent of Schools Brian J. Loughlin.

Leon Lev of the Dayton section of South Brunswick was among the electrical graduates.

Craig Brundidge of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick was among the plumbing graduates.

In addition, William Woodward of Howell and Dylan Halasz of Jamesburg received certificates as members of the National Technical Honor Society. They also received the Edward J. Fofrich Memorial Award of Local Union 456 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, North Brunswick.

Steve Jannarone of Keyport was honored as the class representative who embodied the principles of apprenticeship.

The Albert Hudanish Leadership Award was given to Francis R. James, a vo-tech Board of Education member and a 30-year member of the Local 68 of the International Union of Operating Engineers in West Caldwell.
