Also, Mayor Diaz will present three awards to the chefs, bakers and food crafters who prepare and serve the most incredible cuisine and desserts. The trophies recognize the evening’s “Best Food” and “Best Dessert.” Based on the votes cast by event-goers, the Mayor will award the “People’s Choice” honor. The three-foot tall trophy guarantees the winner holds local “bragging rights” for the next year as the City’s “Best of the Best” restaurant.
Taste of Perth Amboy Blends Cuisine and Entertainment
At this year’s “Taste,” there is also going to be dance performances, live music and a DJ, who sets the tone by playing a wide selection of music. Entertainment includes an Argentinean couple who will perform flowing and fluid dance routines from their country as well as Paraguay and Uruguay. Also, children, dressed in traditional clothing from Poland, will perform Polish dances. And, in between all that music and motion, a group of musicians will play the beautiful sounding cuatro, the national instrument of Puerto Rico, and a Mariachi Band will close the festivities.
