Trinitas Regional Medical Center recently provided 5 Nutrition classes at The Gateway Family YMCA - Elizabeth Branch Josephine and John Jacobson Child Development Center. Michelle Ali, Director, Food & Nutrition Services lead the classes with the three and four year olds. Michelle lead healthy discussions, played Nutrition Bingo, brought in fresh fruit and vegetables to share, and read stories to the youth. On Wednesday, June 11, Michelle had a “Class Graduation” for all the youth that participated. Trinitas Regional Medical Center and the Shaping Elizabeth team provided “Healthy Take Home” bags for each child and their families. Afterward, everyone enjoyed a home-made fruit salad made with strawberries, melon and cantaloupe.
