Three Middlesex County Hospitals Ranked Among Best In New Jersey
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, St. Peter's University Hospital and University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro are ranked

Two New Brunswick hospitals, along with a third hospital in Plainsboro, have been ranked among the best in the state by U.S. News & World Report.
According to the annual report:
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick was ranked third in the state and eighth in the New York metro area.

St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick and University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro tied for sixth place among New Jersey hospitals and 12th in the New York metro area.
Both RWJUH and St Peter’s were listed as high performing in three procedures/conditions, while the Plainsboro hospital received that ranking in four procedures/conditions:

- RWJUH: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart bypass surgery and heart failure
- St. Peter’s: heart failure, hip replacement, knee replacement
- Plainsboro: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart failure, hip replacement, knee replacement
The hospitals were also ranked a high performing in some speciality areas:
- St. Peter’s: geriatrics.
- RWJUH: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, geriatrics, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery and urology
They were the only Middlesex County hospitals to receive a ranking in the list.
