Underage Drinking in Middlesex County: What You Need to Know

Did you know that:

In Middlesex County, 19.5% of high school sophomores and 33.4% of high school seniors reported drinking in the past 30 days?

Overall, Middlsex County high school students report that they drink mostly on the weekend, at their own home or a friend’s house?

Did you know that 11.6% of Middlesex County 8th graders say they drank alcohol in the past 30 days?

These statistics were provided by the Dunellen Police Department, which is holding a town hall meeting Monday night to talk about the problem of underage drinking.

Representatives from the Dunelle police, the Dunellen Municipal Alliance and the Wellspring Center for Prevention will hold the meeting Monday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dunellen Cinema Cafe, 458 North Avenue in Dunelle.
