Veggies and You!

Free program on vegetables at the Woodbridge Main Library on October 16, 2017 @ 7 PM.

Do you want to add more whole, nutrient dense vegetables, grain and fruits to your diet? We’ll cover the many health benefits of a plant based diet, basic nutrition, what products are available in the supermarket, why you might want to choose organic and non-GMO foods and transitioning to a more compassionate lifestyle. Handouts will include menus and recipes. Join Susan Rose, Vegetarian Lifestyle Coach who will present a simple meditation technique that can be practiced at home by young and old.

Susan has been a vegetarian and meditating for over 40 years. She has been cooking and studying nutrition with an emphasis on plant-based whole foods and recently completed a course in Plant Based Nutrition from E-Cornell and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. She enjoys cooking for family and friends and creating recipes that are quick and easy to make. Since retiring from a senior executive position in Sales & Marketing from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, she has conducted numerous talks and workshops around the world on the vegetarian lifestyle and is co-editor of a cookbook called Veggies & You. She will share information on how a plant based diet is healthy, gentle to the planet, and how it can enhance our spiritual development
