WATCH: Humpback Whale Feeds off Union Beach for Hours on Saturday

A Middletown resident sent us these photos and video he took of a humpback whale feeding "for hours" Saturday off Union Beach.

Union Beach, NJ - Everyone seemed to be enjoying the beautiful July 4th holiday weekend weather!

Middletown resident Louis C. LeComte sent us these photos and video he took off a humpback whale seen feeding "for hours" Saturday just off Union Beach. LeComte, his daughter, Madison and his fiance Tiffany Stewart saw the whale while on Captain John's Party Boat, which leaves out of Keyport. They were in the area fluke fishing.

"The humpback whale was feeding on peanut bunker in the middle of the channel off Union Beach," LeComte wrote. "The whale was feeding for hours by a good 10 party boats. He was eating the bunker from Keyport to Ideal Beach in Middletown. He was pretty much offshore at Ideal for hours on Saturday."
