WATCH: Woodbridge Police Detective and Dispatcher Take Polar Plunge

The father-son team braved 37-degree ocean water to raise money for the Special Olympics of New Jersey.


Woodbridge, NJ - The water temperature was 37 degrees. The air was actually a far balmier 60. Woodbridge Police Det. Mark Zeno and his son, Woodbridge Police Dispatcher Marquis Zeno, were just two of the more than 6,000 people who participated in the 2016 Polar Plunge Saturday in Seaside Heights.

The plunge, in its 23rd year, raised more than $1.65 million for Special Olympics New Jersey. Between 15-20 Woodbridge police officers and their families participated in the 2016 Polar Plunge.
