What's Happening This Weekend In Woodbridge

There's so much planned in Woodbridge this weekend, and Easter is right around the corner:

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The following is all from Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac:

On Friday night, the Avenel Knights of Columbus will have a Fish Fry from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Woodbridge Center Mall has a Hopping Into Spring family event from 6 - 8 p.m. at Center Court and the Woodbridge Elks will have a Soup & Sandwich night from 6 - 9 p.m.

Woodbridge High School will put on the play “Pippin” at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

On Saturday, the Avenel Performing Arts Center has a “Wicked Sing-a-Long” at 2:00 pm and again at 8:00 pm. The First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge has the Children’s Clothes Closet from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday and there is also an Easter Egg Stroll from 12:00 to 2:00 pm in the parking lot at 411 New Brunswick Avenue in Fords sponsored by the Fords Business Community with food trucks and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Also Saturday, the Sewaren Library has Storytime with a “Try Not to Laugh Challenge” at noon and the Main Library has the movie “Little Women” at 1:00 pm.

Sunday, the Woodbridge Elks has breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 8:00 am to Noon and Good Shepherd Parish has a Fish Fry with take-out from 12:30 to 1:00 pm and dine-in from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at their hall at 625 Florida Grove Road.

On Monday, the Woodbridge Historical Association has “The New Jersey Greenwich Tea Party” at 7:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge. Tuesday, the Recreation Department has a trip to Broadway to see Buena Vista Social Club leaving at 4:00 pm from the Community Center so call 732-596-4047 for tickets. Wednesday, the Main Library has “Downsizing and Decluttering: You Can’t Take It With You” at 1:00 pm.

Colonia High School has “SpongeBob the Musical” Thursday and Friday (March 26, 27) at 7:00 pm, Saturday at 10:00 am and 7:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm. The Main Library has the movie “Best in Show” Saturday at 2:00 pm.

March 28, the Easter Bunny will be at Parker Press Park and also the the Bunny will walk with the Woodbridge Fire Department from 10:00 am to Noon hopping up and down Main Street. Also Saturday, the Iselin Library has the movie “Downtown Abbey: The Grand Finale” at 1:00 pm.
