What's Happening In Woodbridge This Weekend

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — This weekend's schedule of activities is from Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac:

On Friday night, the Woodbridge Community Center has the Big Feet Dinosaur Show lower-level center court at 6:30 pm.

Colonia Middle School’s Community Service Club has a Have-A-Heart food drive from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the Colonia VFW. On Sunday, there is a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for a Woodbridge resident fighting an extremely rare disease at the Edison VFW at 53 National Road in Edison from 1:00 to 5:00 pm and then the Woodbridge Elks have a state championship cook-off at 2:00 pm at their Lodge.

On Monday’s holiday there is open roller skating at the Community Center from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.

Tuesday, the Main Library has classes including Resume Building at 11:00 am and again at noon plus a File Organization class at 1:30 pm. There is also a Quiet Coloring Hour there at 1:00 pm. Also, the Barron Arts Center has a lecture on the “Music of Mardi Gras” at 1:00 pm.

Wednesday, the Main Library has a session called “Meditation: Connecting to the Love Within” at 7:00 pm by Zoom so call 732-634-4450 to register. Also on Wednesday, the Woodbridge Knights of Columbus have a take-out only fish dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 pm so call 908-239-0514 to order in advance.

Thursday, the Main Library has “Sleep and the Impact on Heart Health” at 2:00 pm and next Friday the Main Library has the movie “Something’s Gotta Give” at 2:00 pm and the Evergreen Youth Center has a middle school Youth Night from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with a photo booth, music and food with login through Genesis and a Woodbridge student ID.

Next Saturday, February 21, the All-Seasons Chamber Players will be at the Barron Arts Center at 8:00 pm so call 732-634-0413 to reserve a seat. Next Sunday, the Independent Club of Colonia has a Black History Month celebration from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Acacia Youth Center.

Our Mobile Health Unit will be out from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm this week - Wednesday at Evergreen Senior Center, Thursday at the Community Center and Friday by the Post Office on Main Street in downtown Woodbridge. All trash and recycling pickups will be moved back one day due to the President’s Day holiday on Monday.
