Woman Killed In Woodbridge Parkway Crash On Christmas Eve
The New Brunswick woman was killed when she was ejected from the vehicle. A second woman who was also ejected was seriously injured.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A New Brunswick woman was killed in a car accident on the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge Township on Christmas Eve.
The woman who died has been identified as Devona Hutchinson, 47, of New Brunswick, who was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, said New Jersey State Police.
The fatal crash happened at 7:52 a.m. Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, on the Parkway southbound through Woodbridge, near mile marker 132.2.

State Police say a Dodge Caravan traveling south went off the road to the right, traveled up an embankment, struck several trees and traveled back towards the Parkway. It then struck the guardrail and overturned. As a result, two passengers were ejected, one of them being Hutchinson.
The driver, Samuel Huff, 67, of East Orange, sustained minor injuries.

Passenger Tara Garland, 46, of Edison sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
