Woodbridge COVID Cases Climb In The Past Week

Aug. 17 - 20 saw 19 new cases of coronavirus reported in Woodbridge, the highest total in more than a month.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — After being down all summer, cases in Woodbridge are on the upswing in the past week: The past four days have had the highest total in more than a month, the Township reported Friday.

This week saw 19 new cases of coronavirus reported in Woodbridge Township. There were six cases on Monday, five on Tuesday, none on Wednesday and eight on Thursday.

Of the new cases, there is one household with four cases and three households with two cases each.

There were no deaths this week among Woodbridge residents.

The August average of daily cases is just over three while July’s was just under three.

At 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 20 Woodbridge will hold a vigil service for Woodbridge residents who passed away during the pandemic — for any reason — and who did not have a full wake or funeral service. The service will be held on the concert field behind Woodbridge High School. The town will read the names of those who have passed. If you would like your loved one's name read, call the town.
