Woodbridge Fluke Fishing Tournament This Saturday
This year, proceeds will go to Shyam Venkatesh, a five-year-old from Woodbridge diagnosed with leukemia.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Mayor John E. McCormac and the Woodbridge Township fishing fleet issued a “Last Call” to all fishermen (and fisherwomen) to sign-up for the 2017 Mayor’s Fluke Fishing Tournament, which casts off from the Sewaren boat launch this Saturday, June 17. The annual fishing tournament raises funds for Woodbridge Township physically- or developmentally-challenged youngsters.
This year, proceeds will go to Shyam Venkatesh, a five-year-old from Woodbridge diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Meet Shyam and family at the mandatory Captain’s Meeting scheduled for this Friday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Andrew’s Knights of Columbus Hall, 109 Morrisey Avenue in Avenel.

Entrance fee is $125.00 per boat. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place and Best Junior Angler. Contact the Department of Recreation at 732-596-4048 to sign up.
When: SAT., JUNE 17, 2017 @ 6:00 a.m. Weigh-In at 5:00 p.m.
