Woodbridge High School History Teacher Removed After 9/11 Conspiracy Theory Links
A history teacher linked to an article titled 'U.S. Planned, Carried Out 9/11 Attacks.' Another article: 'U.S Planning 9/11-Style Attack.'

Woodbridge, NJ - A history teacher at Woodbridge High School has been removed from the classroom this week after PIX 11 News found he linked to 9/11 conspiracy theories on his teacher page on the school's website.
Many teachers at Woodbridge High School maintain their own pages; you can see examples of them here. On his page, under "Supplemental Materials," history teacher Jason Ali allegedly linked to a website called The Middle East Research Institute. That link has since been taken down, but that website carried articles that had anti-Semitic headlines. It also featured an article from The Saudi Daily that reads the "U.S. Planned, Carried Out 9/11 Attacks."
The headline on another article read: "U.S Planning 9/11-Style Attack using ISIS In Early 2015 — Like It Did Using Al-Queda in 2001." Elsewhere on his page, Ali posted motivational quotes for students encouraging them to seek the truth, such as "Accurate information is a key part of motivation" and "To communicate the truths of history is an act of hope for the future."

PIX 11 News found the links and began questioning the Woodbridge school district about Ali. As soon as Woodbridge schools superintendent Dr. Robert Zega found out, Ali was told to stop teaching.
"It's upsetting... that somebody would do this. It's upsetting that somebody would, especially a teacher, would distribute this message," Dr. Zega told PIX 11. "It is is absolutely not something that the district agrees with in anyway."

"We took swift action and the links are coming down as we speak and if ... the investigation proves out then the teacher will be disciplined severely," he said.
