However, while the number of new cases is very high, the death toll is not:

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Ever since the pandemic first began nearly two years ago, this week Woodbridge logged its highest case count ever, announced Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac on Thursday.
Woodbridge recorded 619 new cases of coronavirus this week, the highest amount ever logged.
And it's only Thursday and Woodbridge usually releases its case count on Friday, pointed out McCormac.

However, while the number of new cases is very high, the death toll is not: Woodbridge has so far logged 13 COVID-related deaths in the past three months.
Compare that to mid-March to June of 2020, when Woodbridge had 149 deaths.
After vaccines were introduced in mass scale and doctors said they learned how to better treat COVID, the number of COVID-related deaths has plummeted nationwide, and similarly here in Woodbridge.
So far in 2021, Woodbridge had 55 COVID-related deaths in the first three months of the year, then 12 in April-May-June, then 8 in the summer and 13 deaths so far for the last three months of year.
However, Woodbridge did have one death of a 61-year-old woman this week, "so please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers," said the mayor.
