1 NJ Kmart Store Left After Central Jersey Location Closes
There are now only three Kmart stores left in the entire United States: One in North Jersey, another on Long Island and one in Miami.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The Woodbridge Kmart, located on St. Georges Avenue in Avenel is closing, a store employee confirmed to Patch.
Their last day of business will be April 17. Liquidation sales have begun immediately Thursday.
With the closure of the Avenel store, there is now only one Kmart left in New Jersey, in Westwood. The closure of the Woodbridge Kmart was first reported by NJ.com.

There are only three Kmarts left in the entire nation: The Westwood location, one on Long Island and a third in Miami.
There was a third Kmart in New Jersey, in Kearny, but that location shuttered in 2021.

At one point there were 2,400 Kmart stores in America and Canada, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Both Sears and Kmart are operated by Transformco, and both Sears and Kmart filed for bankruptcy in 2018.
