Woodbridge Library Now Has Hublets

Hublets are portable tablet stations. Woodbridge Library installed two Hublet "stations" with six Hublets at each.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ —This week, the Woodbridge Public Library has installed Hublet vending stations.

Hublets are tablets similar to iPads. Library patrons can rent the Hublets. Learn more about what a Hublet is here: https://gethublet.com/

The tablets come pre-loaded with a wide range of digital content from newspapers and magazines to ebooks, games and apps, language learning software and online tutoring and courses.

Library visitors scan their library card and the docking station releases a tablet for use anywhere within the wi-fi area. Patrons cannot take them home.

Hublets are portable and will be hosted in the Main and Iselin locations of the library when they are not traveling to other Township locations for community engagement events.

The Hublet launch is paid for using federal tax dollars Woodbridge was given from the American Rescue Plan. Woodbridge Public Library received $25,000 for the portable tablet stations.
