Woodbridge Man Works to Save Rainforests
GEC Communities uses carbon credits as means to provide financial incentive to stop cutting of trees.
Joe Battiato of Woodbridge and Charlie Cacici of Westfield first came to know each other on Wall Street. Years later they formed GEC Communities that sells carbon credits to help save a portion of the rainforest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Joe and Charlie joined Cranford Radio for a discussion about their business and how a small company in Union County is having an impact in Africa.
