Woodbridge Mayor To Hold Senior Summit On Wednesday

Mayor John E. McCormac will host the 9th Annual Woodbridge Township Senior Summit and Forum at the Woodbridge Community Center.

May is senior month in Woodbridge, and the mayor plans to hold a senior summit on Wednesday.

Mayor John E. McCormac will host the 9th Annual Woodbridge Township Senior Summit and Forum at the Woodbridge Community Center.

Senior citizens can stop by to offer suggestions, comments and ideas to the mayor, township council members, township officials and representatives of senior program, according to a news release from the township.

Among the agency representatives expected to attend are those from the community center, police, the library, the Barron Arts Center, and the local departments of Health and Human Services, Public Works, Recreation, Multi-Service Agency, Division on Aging, and Municipal Clerk’s Office.

Representatives of local medical service providers, professional service agencies and businesses are also expected to attend, according to the news release.

The summit begins at 11 a.m. The event is part of the community center’s Active Older Adults Day, which runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The center is located at 600 Main Street.
