Woodbridge Opens Cypress Recreational Park Thursday

The Port Reading park includes a playing field, rec facility, a Greenhouse Learning Center, volleyball and pickle ball courts.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — This Thursday at 2 p.m., Woodbridge will host the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Cypress Park Recreation Center and special-needs facilities.

This is a new Township park located at 881 West Avenue in Port Reading.

The park includes a level playing field and new fully-accessible rec facility, a Greenhouse Learning Center and playground apparatus specifically designed for challenged and handicapped children of all ages and abilities.

Cypress Park was funded through a $1.5 million Recreational Facilities Special Needs Improvement grant from the state of New Jersey.

The park also includes new volleyball and pickle ball courts and turf athletic facilities.

The ribbon cutting will be at 2 p.m. Thursday.
