Woodbridge Police Issue Tickets To Kids Wearing Helmets
Hey, Woodbridge kids: If you're caught wearing a helmet, you'll get a ticket from Woodbridge police. A ticket for free ice cream, that is.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Hey, Woodbridge kids, tweens and teens: If you're caught wearing a helmet, you'll get a ticket from Woodbridge police. A ticket for free ice cream, that is.
That's right. The Woodbridge police department is again partnering with the Colonia Dairy Maid this summer. It's part of their annual summer program to give away a small cup or cone of soft serve to any Woodbridge kid under 17 caught by a police officer wearing their bike helmet. Kids should wear helmets while on bikes, roller blades, skateboards or scooters. It is New Jersey state law that all children under 17 must wear helmets.
