Woodbridge Police Receive Valor Awards
The 200 Club Of Middlesex County gave the awards to Woodbridge officers who saved the occupants of a burning vehicle.

Three Woodbridge police officers recently received Valor Awards from a county organization for saving two people from a burning vehicle.
The 200 Club of Middlesex County presented the awards to Woodbridge Sgt. William Draina, and Officers Carlos Villegas and Nicole Hubner.

On Aug. 28, the three officers were sent to the intersection of Route 27 and Green Street, where a vehicle had hit a construction trailer.
The air bags in the vehicle deployed and both the driver and passenger were semi-conscious. The engine compartment of the vehicle was on fire.

The driver was pulled from the vehicle, but the passenger side door was jammed shut.
Draina reached through an open window and pushed the passenger toward the other two officers, who pulled the man from the burning vehicle.
