Woodbridge Public Library Holds Amnesty Month In September

Great news if you have overdue books! The Woodbridge Public Library will forgive all late fees this month if you renew your library card.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Great news if you have overdue library books! The Woodbridge Public Library will hold "Amnesty Month" this September for library patrons who have materials to return and/or fines that accrued during the pandemic.

All overdue fines and fees will be forgiven during September, as long as all materials are returned and library cards are renewed.

“The fall, the beginning of the school year, is always a good time for everyone in the community to either get a library card or renew them," said Woodbridge Library Director Monica Eppinger. “This year it is a time that the Library Board of Trustees would like to give everyone a chance to bring materials back to the library without penalty.”

If you lost a book, DVD or item, you will still have to reimburse the library. However, processing fees and overdue fines will be waived when library cards are renewed. Patrons will need to visit in person to renew their library card memberships.
