Woodbridge Rita's Ice Holds Essay Contest

For the first time ever, Rita's Ice of Woodbridge will be giving a $1,000 award to a graduating senior from one of the three high schools.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — For the first time ever, the Rita’s Ice of Woodbridge will be giving a $1,000 award to a graduating senior from one of the three public high schools in town.

The award will go to one senior who will graduate this spring from Woodbridge High School, Colonia High School or JFK, according to Hilda Alfano, who owns the Woodbridge Rita's.

The applicant must submit a 300-word essay on “Why I love Rita’s Ice of Woodbridge," and also provide a personal statement (300 words or less) about their background (who they are, passions, goals and plans for the future).
