Woodbridge Twp. DPW Garbage Truck Caught Fire Monday Morning

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A Woodbridge Twp. DPW garbage truck caught fire in a small fire Monday morning.

The truck caught fire at around 8 a.m. as it was headed to Bayshore Recycling plant, on Crows Mill Road in Keasbey.

The truck was headed there to drop off recycling materials, said William Drake, fire official at the Keasbey Bureau of Fire Prevention.

He said it was a minor fire, but the truck did have some damage. The fire was put out by one fire truck dispatched from the Keasbey Fire Department, he said.

He said it is unknown what caused the fire in the truck to start. It was likely some of the recycling materials it was carrying.
