Woodbridge's New Indoor Game Space, Activate Games, Opens Feb. 28

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Activate Games will open Feb. 28 in Woodbridge.

Activate Games is located at St. Georges Crossing shopping center, in the 14,650-square-foot space that used to be occupied by West Marine.

Activate Games is an indoor game space: Imagine indoor laser tag, paintball and an escape room all in one. It's a live-action indoor gaming facility where players "jump, climb, problem-solve and laugh, as you and your friends move between challenges," the company said on its website.

"Next-gen immersive game rooms where players move, compete and play together. Activate players can compete in over 55 different fast-paced game varieties to jump, dodge, solve puzzles and strategize. Each game room hosts a myriad of games and levels from enhanced versions of well-known activities like Hoops and Laser and fan-favorite Mega Grid, to puzzle and strategy games like Hide and Press. Come for high-energy, team-based gaming experience where skill, smarts and teamwork win."

During the grand opening on Feb. 28, the first 50 guests will receive a limited-edition Activate wristband for 30 days of free gameplay and raffle entry ticket for exclusive prizes. There will be mini competitions that day and music throughout the day from a live DJ.

Founded in Winnipeg, Canada, Activate has expanded to nearly 60 locations across North America and elsewhere. Their Woodbridge location is their third location in New Jersey.
