Woodbridge's October COVID Case Count Now Higher Than May's
Woodbridge's coronavirus case count for October has now moved past May's case count, said Mayor John McCormac.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Woodbridge's coronavirus case count for October has now moved past May’s case count, said Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, and there are still several days left in the month of October.
The case count for May was 269 COVID cases, and as of Oct. 26, Woodbridge is already at 312 cases for the month of October.
Also, it's worth noting that May was Woodbridge's second worst month ever in the pandemic, second only to April 2020.

"The only good news is that the second wave appears so far to be not as bad as the first wave — but it is close," said McCormac. You can read his entire remarks here: http://www.twp.woodbridge.nj.u...

After a summer where cases were in a lull, "our trend is heading upward," said McCormac. "It is more important than ever to do everything we can now to curtail this pandemic before it gets worse ... Woodbridge is neither encouraging nor are we discouraging trick-or-treating in person but if you decide to take your kids or grandkids out, please be very careful."
Woodbridge has been averaging 12 cases a day for October, but that number rose to 20 for the past week (Oct. 18 - 24).
