$2,000 Stolen From Unlocked Vehicles In Franklin Lakes: Police

Center consoles and trucks were opened, police said.

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. — About $2,000 was stolen from two unlocked vehicles, a resident reported Saturday, police said.

The Highwoods Drive resident said that the unlocked vehicles were burglarized sometime overnight, said Capt. John Bakelaar. The center consoles and trunks had been opened, he said.

Anyone with information regarding the theft should call the police at 201-891-2121.

Police would like to remind residents to take the keys out of the vehicles and lock them overnight.
