3 Newark Teens Arrested In Attempted Wyckoff Car Theft: Police
Three teens were charged after a Wayfair Circle resident reported they were trying to steal his car, police said.
WYCKOFF, NJ — Three Newark teenagers were arrested and charged after a Wayfair Circle resident reported that they were trying to steal his career around 4 a.m. Saturday.
Police set up a perimeter of the area as the resident monitored the suspects through his doorbell camera, providing updates to responding patrol units, police said.
Upon arrival, police found footprints in the snow leading toward the North Haledon border. Similar footprints were found in the yard of a home on Ahnert Avenue in North Haledon, police said.

Officers from Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes and North Haledon Police Departments followed the footprints, locating the three suspects hiding in an area creek.
Police said the suspects matched the description provided by the resident. They were taken into custody shortly after.

Jaheem Dozier, 18, is charged with conspiracy to commit theft of moveable property, theft and burglary. He was processed and released pending a court date, police said.
The two juveniles were charged on Juvenile Delinquency Complaints with conspiracy to commit theft and burglary. They were processed and released to the custody of family members, police said.
