WYCKOFF, NJ — Millers Pharmacy in Wyckoff has been able to stand strong through changes in the industry since it was founded in Paramus in 1918. It moved to an 1860 building in Wyckoff — the oldest in that town — in 1929, its owner said.

Earlier this month, according to the owner, they prepared to transfer some of their retail prescriptions to another pharmacy nearby, in order to "shift our focus away from retail operations" and fulfill a mission.

According to Douglas Pilatowski, the pharmacy, while still offering some prescriptions, will focus on compounding — just like pharmacies did decades ago.

"To fulfill our mission, we have created a proprietary line of professional-grade products, including compounded medications, supplements, and beauty products, in response to our clients' requests for enhanced health and skincare solutions that complement their well-being."

He said that starting Sept. 3, some retail prescription files would be securely transferred to Sicomac Pharmacy in Wyckoff, at 300 Sicomac Ave.

Back in 2022, Jily SkinLab Med Spa, a Daywel company, opened at the pharmacy. Read more about that here.
