ALDI Supermarkets Hiring At 4 North Jersey Stores

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — ALDI, the German-based grocery store chain making inroads into North Jersey, is hiring at its three Bergen County stores.

ALDI is looking to fill 250 positions across all of New Jersey in a one-day hiring blitz from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The hiring spree is in support of the ongoing growth of ALDI’s existing stores and to hire full-time employees for the upcoming stores in Egg Harbor, Flemington, Hamilton and Old Bridge.

ALDI three Bergen County stores are located in Lodi, Hackensack and East Rutherford. The Lodi store opened May 15. There is an ALDI store in Clifton as well.

Store associates and shift managers can earn between $12 and $12.40 per hour, depending on location. Shift managers may earn an additional $4.25 per hour premium when performing manager duties. Manager trainees can earn between $52,000 and $56,000 annually.

The German-based company offers groceries at discount prices similar, and sometimes, cheaper than Walmart and wants to directly compete with the retail giant.
