All you can fall back on are personal attacks . . .

Dear Patch Editor,

Before the Pappalardo Campaign and the Democrats spew any more venom, it behooves them to re-read those Republican ads from last year. The local Republican ads last year simply called out and criticized Brian Scanlan's record and performance on issues relating to township government. They did NOT attack him personally. The mailers sent out by the Pappalardo Democratic Campaign are a vicious personal attack against Tom Madigan and are absolutely disgraceful! It seems apparent that when they can not find cause to call someone out on their record of achievements for the good of Wyckoff, they go directly for the jugular by hitting their opponent on a malicious personal level. They have just sunk to a new low by calling Rudy Boonstra a liar regarding his letter on Patch. There were several people at that particular BOE meeting who heard what Ms. Pappalardo said; among others, one happened to be a respected local attorney whose word is credible. Mr. Boonstra still stands by his word. For the accepting, peace loving, open minded and ethical people they claim to be, they sure spend a lot of time attacking people on a personal level. Their attacks are hateful and repulsive and have no place in a town such as Wyckoff.
