PARAMUS, NJ — The Bergen Institute for the Creative Arts at Bergen Community College, and the music program, will present “The Roots of Pop and Rock, Volume 1” next month.
From Berry to Presley, Joplin and the Stones, attendees will spend the evening taking a trip through early rock-and-roll led by the College’s student pop-rock ensemble and chorus.
Tickets are $15 with discounts for staff and students.
They can be purchased at tickets.bergen.edu or by calling (201) 447-7428. All proceeds benefit the Paul Marshall Scholarship Fund, which assists students pursue music education.
The concert takes place on Wednesday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre (400 Paramus Road).
Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack, and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst.
The college offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields.
More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state, according to a release.
