Helicopter To Hover Over Wyckoff Tuesday: Here's Why

WYCKOFF, NJ — If you see or hear a police helicopter over Wyckoff on Tuesday evening, don't be alarmed.

"Tonight around 8 p.m., a helicopter will be landing on Memorial Field," the Wyckoff Police Department said in a message Tuesday afternoon. "This landing is a demonstration for our Citizens Police Academy. There is no emergency."

Wyckoff runs its eight-week Citizens Police Academy to teach residents about police operations. Participants must be 35-65 years old and pass a background check.
