NORTH JERSEY — A free carnival for people with special needs, of any age, has been planned for this month in Bergen County.
Access for All in Oakland runs the carnival each year.
The carnival will feature rides at slower speeds, with lower lighting than usual, and lower sounds.
It will run on June 20 at the Oakland Municipal recreation complex at 24 Lawlor Drive.
The entry and rides are free, while the cost of food is extra. The event will be held from 2-4 p.m.
"The carnival is open to all towns," said an organizer, "[for] all ages that enjoy a carnival."
