WYCKOFF, NJ — Wyckoff will begin two major street projects starting Wednesday and Thursday, temporarily closing major county and local roads, the town said.

The Bergen County contractor was to begin million Wyckoff Avenue from the Mahwah border to the Crescent Avenue intersection on Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

There may be closures and detours, with only residents allowed into the affected areas. Plan an alternate route, officials advised.

The paving part of the work will begin on Sept. 10, the town noted.

A separate project will begin on Lawlins Road this Thursday, up to the railroad crossing.

In this case, the town's contractor will begin milling at 5 a.m. by noon, then reopening several roads.

Paving will start next Tuesday, weather permitting.
